49 CFR Online Training Course
Meet U.S. DOT function-specific training regulations
If your company ships hazardous materials in the United States, you must comply with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Code of Federal Regulations 49 CFR. One component of the 49 CFR requires that employees involved in shipping hazardous materials receive training based on job function (49 CFR, Subpart H, Section 172.704). The CHEMTREC 49 CFR online training course helps you and your team meet these training requirements.
This interactive course will take approximately five hours to complete and it outlines your responsibilities in shipping hazardous materials by ground in the United States. It demonstrates how to pack, mark, and label items as well as how to prepare shipping papers according to 49 CFR specifications. The course also covers safety and security awareness and provides emergency response guidance.
49 CFR Parts 100-177 and 178-199
To successfully complete the course, you must have a copy of the latest version of the 49 CFR Parts 100-177 and 178-199. The book can be purchased through CHEMTREC when you sign up for the course.
Note: The Hazmat General, Safety and Security Awareness course is a pre-requisite for the 49 CFR online training course.
